For foreign professionals

Jobs in Bangkok for foreign professionals

Evantis is a Bangkok recruitment agency that actually places foreigners. Our founders have brought over 100 foreign professionals into Thailand, in roles where employers sponsor the visa and work permit. Here is how it works, and who it works for.

Where the roles are

Where foreigners get hired in Thailand

Thai employers can and do hire foreigners, but for specific reasons. The roles we place foreign candidates into are the ones where the skill is scarce locally.

Tech

Technology

SAP and ERP specialists, cloud and infrastructure engineers, cyber security, software developers with deep experience in one stack, data and AI, agile coaches and delivery leads.

Engineering

Engineering and manufacturing

Semiconductor, automotive and electronics process specialists for plants in Bangkok and the Eastern Seaboard.

Leadership

Leadership

Country and regional roles in technology, finance and operations, and executive search mandates.

Financial services

Banking and insurance

Transformation, risk and technology roles at international groups with Bangkok hubs.

We do not place English teachers, hospitality staff or roles that a Thai professional can readily fill. If that is what you are looking for, we would rather say so now than waste your time.

Before you apply

What you need to know before you apply

Your employer sponsors the work permit, not you

In Thailand a work permit is tied to a specific employer and role. You cannot apply for one independently, so the job comes first. If you are hired directly, the employer’s HR files it and we keep it moving. If you join a client through Evantis on an outsourced basis, Evantis is your employer and we file it ourselves.

Salaries are set in baht

Senior technical salaries in Bangkok are competitive for the region, and the cost of living is lower than most places our candidates come from. We will tell you what your role pays here before you spend time on it.

We never charge candidates

Our fees are paid by employers. Anyone asking you for money to find you a job in Thailand is not a recruiter.

Timing

From offer to your first day in Bangkok is typically four to eight weeks, depending on where you are and how quickly the paperwork moves. We have done this many times and will give you a realistic date.

How to work with us

Three steps to a straight answer

01

Register on our jobs board

So we can match you to live and future roles, not just the one you saw today.

02

Send us a CV that says what you did, not just where

For foreign candidates we also want to know your notice period, current location, whether you have worked in Thailand or Southeast Asia before, and whether you are moving alone or with family.

03

Expect a straight answer

If we do not have a role for you now, we will say so and keep you on file for the ones we know are coming.

Who you will be dealing with

People who have made the move happen before

Our founders spent years building international technology teams in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore for a Fortune 10 energy major, relocating over 100 people into Thailand from India, the Philippines, Europe, the Americas and across Asia. We know what the move involves because we have run it, repeatedly.

Questions candidates ask

Questions candidates ask us

Can I get a job in Thailand without a work permit?

You need one to work legally, and your employer applies for it once you have an offer. We coordinate the process.

Do I need to speak Thai?

For the roles we place, no. English is the working language in the teams our clients run. Thai helps with life outside work and employers appreciate the effort.

Do you help with the visa and relocation?

It depends on how you are hired. On an outsourced role Evantis is your employer, and the visa, work permit and relocation are handled by us. On a direct hire the employer sponsors and files, and we tell you what to expect, chase where it stalls and stay in touch until you are at your desk.

I am already in Thailand on another visa. Does that help?

Sometimes. Tell us your situation and we will tell you what it means for the roles you are looking at.

Do you charge candidates anything?

Never. Our fees are paid by the employer.
