Foreign talent
When the skill you need does not exist in Thailand in the numbers you need it, we find it overseas and get it to your desk in Bangkok. Hire the person permanently and we guide your team through the visa and work permit. Take them through Evantis on an outsourced basis and we handle all of it as the employer. Our founders have done this for over 100 people.
When it is the right answer
Most roles in Thailand should be filled by Thai professionals, and we will tell you when that is the case. A foreign hire makes sense when the market genuinely cannot supply the skill: a SAP S/4HANA architect for a regional rollout, a network security lead with certifications nobody local holds yet, an agile coach who has run transformation at scale, a semiconductor process specialist for a new line, or a regional leader who has to be credible in four markets at once.
Before founding Evantis, John Beardmore led exactly this kind of hiring for a Fortune 10 energy major, building technology teams in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore from candidates sourced worldwide. Chitanong (Ploy) Sompong ran mobilisation on that team for five years. Evantis is the two of them doing it for you.
Two routes
Which one fits depends on the role, the timeline and what your entity can sponsor. Most clients end up using both.
You employ them, your entity sponsors the work permit, and your HR or visa agent files it. We find the person, run the assessment and offer, tell you exactly what the filing will need before you commit, and keep the candidate moving until they land.
We employ them and second them to you. Visa, work permit, renewals and relocation are ours to handle. This is the route when the role is a project or a contract, when you need someone fast, or when your entity cannot support another work permit.

What we handle
We run the search across India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Europe and the Americas, not just the expats already in Bangkok. That is where the depth is for senior technical roles, and a Bangkok-only search rarely finds it.
Technical screening first, then an honest conversation about living and working in Thailand: salary expectations in baht, family situation and timing. People who arrive with accurate expectations are the ones who stay past the first year.
What a foreign hire at this level costs in Thailand, what relocation support is normal, and how to structure an offer that gets accepted without overpaying. We benchmark against offers we have actually seen accepted.
Permanent hire: the permit is issued to your company, your HR or visa agent files it, and we tell you before the offer what it will need. Outsourced role: we are the employer, so the visa, work permit and renewals are ours.
Permanent hire: we advise on the relocation package and stay close to the candidate until they are at their desk. Outsourced role: we run it all, flights, temporary housing, bank account and the first week, so week two is spent working, not unpacking.
We stay in contact with both sides through probation, and problems surface while they are still fixable. A foreign hire who leaves early is expensive for everyone, so we treat retention as part of the job, not something that stops on day one.

How it works
We agree the role, the reason a foreign hire is justified, the budget in baht including relocation, and the timeline to a desk in Bangkok.
First shortlist within three days for most roles. Candidates are pre-screened for Thailand fit as well as technical fit.
We manage interviews across time zones and handle the offer, including the relocation conversation.
Visa, work permit, travel, arrival. On a permanent hire your team files and we keep the checklist and the candidate moving; on an outsourced role we run all of it.
Onboarding support and regular check-ins through probation.
Tell us the role, the constraint and the timeline, and we will tell you which route fits and what it will take.

Who does the work
John Beardmore, Co-Founder. Fifteen years recruiting in Thailand. Before Evantis, John led international technology hiring for a Fortune 10 energy major across Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore: more than 300 placements, including over 100 foreign professionals relocated into Thailand.
Chitanong (Ploy) Sompong, Co-Founder. Five years on that same programme handling search and full mobilisation for foreign hires, and now leads delivery at Evantis.
Questions employers ask
Usually yes, subject to your entity’s headcount and registered capital, which set how many work permits you can support. BOI-promoted companies have a simpler route. Tell us your setup and we will tell you straight away.
Search and offer typically run in two to four weeks for a senior technical role. Visa and work permit timing depends on the candidate’s location and your entity’s paperwork. We give you a realistic date at the brief stage, not an optimistic one.
More, usually, and the gap is narrowing for senior technical roles. We benchmark it for you before you commit.
On an outsourced role, yes, because we are the employer. On a permanent hire the permit is issued to your company, so your HR or visa agent files it, with us advising on what is needed and keeping the candidate on track. If you do not have a visa agent, we will introduce a good one.
No. Take the person through Evantis on an outsourced basis and the permit sits with us.
Our standard replacement guarantee applies, and our process is built to make that unlikely.
Start the conversation
We will tell you honestly whether Thailand can supply it, and if not, where we would look and what it would take to bring them here.
If the role belongs on our payroll rather than yours, our IT outsourcing service is built for exactly that.
