The Evantis Thailand Salary Guide 2026 provides indicative monthly base salary benchmarks for 157 roles across 12 major functions. It is designed to help employers plan headcount and offers, and to help professionals assess their market position with greater confidence.
Thailand’s employment market in 2026 is cautious, competitive and increasingly skills-led. Employers are being more selective about hiring, but strong candidates remain difficult to secure in technology, AI, engineering, supply chain, senior commercial and transformation-focused leadership roles. Thailand’s salary and hiring outlook for 2026
Mercer’s Thailand remuneration research forecasts an average salary increase of 5.2% in 2026, slightly above 5.0% in 2025. The increase is not expected to be uniform. Energy, consumer goods and automotive are among the sectors forecast to see stronger movement, while scarce specialist skills can attract larger premiums.
The Bank of Thailand’s June 2026 projection expects GDP growth of 2.3% in 2026, supported by exports and private investment. Technology and AI-related activity, including data-centre investment, is an important part of that picture. At the same time, the wider economy remains uneven, which helps explain why many employers are hiring carefully rather than expanding across every function.
Across our own searches in Bangkok and on the Eastern Seaboard, Evantis sees the same pattern on the ground: employers are hiring selectively, retention pressure is building, and the strongest demand is for experienced leaders who can deliver transformation rather than simply maintain it. Revenue-generating roles stay a priority throughout, particularly B2B sales and commercial leadership, as companies protect market share while growing carefully.
Where salary pressure is strongest
Technology, AI and data
Demand remains strong for cloud engineering, cybersecurity, data engineering, enterprise platforms, solution architecture and production-ready AI capability. Candidates who combine technical depth with stakeholder communication and commercial understanding are particularly difficult to replace.
Engineering and advanced manufacturing
Automation, controls, quality, continuous improvement and energy efficiency remain resilient hiring areas. On the Eastern Seaboard, specialist technical talent may command Bangkok-level salaries or higher when language skills, shift patterns or scarce industry experience are required.
Supply chain and procurement
Employers increasingly value end-to-end visibility, strategic sourcing, planning and regional supply-chain experience. Professionals who can improve resilience, inventory performance and operating cost can sit toward the upper end of a benchmark range.
Sales and commercial leadership
Revenue-generating roles remain central in a cautious market. B2B business development, key account management, solution sales and commercial leadership continue to attract investment, particularly where candidates bring relationships, sector credibility and a record of opening new markets.
Finance, risk and HR
Finance professionals with business-partnering, FP&A, tax and controls expertise remain in demand. In banking and insurance, risk, compliance and actuarial talent continue to benefit from narrow candidate pools. HR demand is strongest in business partnering, rewards, HR technology and organisational development.

How employers should use salary benchmarks
A salary guide should support judgement, not replace it. Start with the role’s actual scope and expected outcomes. Then consider the candidate’s relevant experience, scarcity of skills, leadership responsibility, English capability, industry knowledge and regional exposure.
Employers should also compare total reward. Variable pay, insurance, provident fund, flexibility, career progression, leadership quality and company stability can all influence whether a candidate accepts or stays.
For new hires, a slow interview process can be more damaging than a small salary gap. Once a strong candidate is identified, clear communication and efficient decision-making materially improve the chance of securing them.
How professionals should use the guide
Treat the salary range as a reference point, not a guaranteed offer. Two people with the same title can have very different responsibilities and market value.
When discussing salary, focus on evidence. Quantify revenue generated, cost saved, risk reduced, projects delivered, systems implemented, teams led or business outcomes improved. A credible impact story is more persuasive than referring only to an average market figure.
Frequently asked questions
What salary figures are included?
The guide shows indicative gross monthly base salaries in Thai baht. Bonuses, commission, allowances, equity and benefits are excluded unless specifically stated.
Are the figures the same across Thailand?
No. Bangkok is the general baseline, while Eastern Seaboard technical roles can match or exceed Bangkok because of talent scarcity. Major provincial cities may sit below Bangkok for many corporate functions, but company size, industry and allowances can change the total package substantially.
How were the benchmarks created?
Evantis compared public 2025–2026 Thailand salary research, current recruitment-market observations and live hiring patterns. Ranges were rounded to avoid false precision and should be validated for each role.
Can Evantis benchmark a specific role or team?
Yes. We can provide a more focused view based on role scope, location, industry, company profile and current candidate expectations. Talk to us.
